My name is Emily ("Em") R. O'Hara. I'm a writer, a development practitioner, a researcher, and a community organizer.

With a Master's in Gender and Development from the Institute for Development Studies at the University of Sussex, I trained as a feminist political ecologist. This means that I understand deeply the connections between gender, community and the [so-called] environment. I also hold a Professional Certificate in Social Enterprise Management and Impact Investing from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and a B.S., International Business from the AACSB-Accredited School of Business and Economics at the State University of New York (SUNY) Plattsburgh.
